Packaging

Tissues provided by certified tissue processors are packaged with state-of-the-art techniques designed to maintain tissue in its sterile condition.  If a package is broken during shipment, the tissue should not be used.

Ordering and Shipping

All tissues are shipped priority next day service by Federal Express.  Frozen tissues will be shipped with sufficient dry ice to maintain tissue integrity for 72 hours.  Same day service may be available to surrounding regions for emergency orders.  All local orders are delivered by a Northwestern Bone & Tissue representative or courier. It is the responsibility of the end-user to ensure that proper storage conditions are maintained after tissue has been received into the facility and prior to implantation.

Return Policy

If for any reason tissue must be returned, a return authorization is required from Northwestern Bone and Tissue prior to shipping.  Lyophilized tissue may be returned to Northwestern Bone and Tissue only if the tissue is properly labeled and identified, package integrity and sterility has been maintained and the packaging is unopened, within 14 days and the tissue has not been reconstituted.  Frozen grafts are not returnable.  It is the responsibility of the health care institution returning the tissue to adequately prepare and identify the tissue for return shipment.
